With a passion to assist others and realizing 50+ Women of Color has been a neglected segment of women with unique challenges, Zelda started a Facebook group called, 50+Women of Color, Class Confidence & Style in late 2016. With only a few members when the group launched, today there are 29,000+ members both domestically and internationally.

About this Expert
Zelda “Cookie” Wade is an IT professional currently working for the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, DC. She is responsible for researching and strategically implementing many of the museum’s technological projects. She actively collaborates with the museum’s departments to ensure it’s IT Department is aligned with Smithsonian’s overall goals and objectives. She graduated from Tennessee State University with a BS Degree in Civil Engineering and completed an MBA from Averett University in VA. Her professional career is unique and spans across all areas from real estate and construction development for Exxon Mobil Oil in the Northeast U. S to working as a Franchise Development Director with potential Franchise owners throughout the East coast.
